I'm not sure they are monolithic, the socket looks more like 2 sockets side by side. 

For AMD, they are all multi-chiplets.

The 9282 is 400w TDP, that's 800w only for the CPUs of a single node !!  

I might be an Intel fanboy, but sometimes I hardly understand the last years decisions... 

Plus it's actually more than 400W per CPU when under load. I don't think it'll be as much difference as 150W TDP Xeons using ~300W under load but it's going to be more than 400W, probably 500W?

The issue is that the yields on the 28 cores arent great to begin with. And now you need 2 of them.

sadly critical thinking is lacking on many of those type of green companies/ngos
