Looking for suggestions.

Looking to buy a new CPU, motherboard and RAM, to go with some existing components from my current PC. Forbidding my current power supply's wattage will be adequate, I'll only have to upgrade those three parts.

Graphics card wise, I currently have a GTX 1060 3gb.

I have a budget of about £500

I'm looking for 16gb minimum of RAM, and was thinking of maybe an i5 9600k.

Any help would be great, thanks ?

Unless you are going for the hyperthreading offerings from intel. AMD just makes more sense in a lot of scenarios. Especially at anything priced less than the 9700k

Better multi-threaded performance, simialr gaming performance, Ryzen also uses less power and runs cooler. With the exception of the 9900K - every Ryzen 3000 CPU beats its competitor quite readily
