Hey guys I’m upgrading from fx to ryzen can I just plug in my boot drive and do windows fresh install from inside of windows 10 to get rid of the chipset drivers or should I just not be lazy and do a clean install thanks in advance

Fresh install of windows from a bootable USB drive would be my advice

If you install your new hardware and use the old drive then guaranteed it will boot right into Windows.  Find your devices and what not and your up and running.  Just did this with a Core 2 Quad to a Ryzen 2700x    ...... His system is blazing fast so no worries.
