i recently got into an old email account of mine after surprisingly getting the password right. it has a steam account linked to it from 2010 and i wanna get into it but steam says i need the original cd key that came with it. i was on drugs for a while and lost all my stuff years ago i'm just wondering if there's someway to get it back.

p.s ive been clean for a little over five years now just needing some help.

Sadly no. They need to verify if account is really yours. That will be harder if it hasn't been used in a while. Before 2FA,Steam Guard and such that used to be only way to recover access.

CD keys are not CD specific, you're out of luck.

Desktop 1: 7800x3d @ stock, 64gb DDR5 @ 6000, 3080Ti, x670 Asus Strix

 

Basement TV Desktop: 7800x3d @ stock, 64gb DDR5 @ 6000, 4080 Super, x670 Asus Strix

 

Laptop: Dell G3 15 - i7-8750h @ stock, 16gb ddr4 @ 2666, 1050Ti 

 

Laptop 2: Intel i7 12700k, 3080Ti32gb DDR5 Ram
