Ok thanks guys I will be testing some switches out myself then.

my thing about the huntsman elite is tho that rgb just gets me.

Look my friend if you don't want the slim design the aircraft aluminum alloy or the G keys or sexy media stuff and sexy volume wheel then get the Razer.  Im going towards this keyboard just for the thin keys which are half the size of normal keyboard keys.  I want that low profile with Linear .... Im not into clicky or tactile .. I want it to be smooth and sound similar to G910.  Go to best buy and hopefully they have the keyboard on display but I doubt they will have all 3 types on display.  I mean you want type writer feel and sound get clicky.  But still try best buy at least you will get a feel of one of the 3 types.  If they have clicky on display then use it and if you dont like it tactile will be very similar.  Linear will be fast and smooth and no type writer clicky feel.

This is about what he wants, not what you want.  Peripherals are entirely subjective to the person that wants them.  Just because you like something, it doesn't mean someone else likes them too.

You seem very susceptible to marketing gimmicks

Well ya its more expensive cuz it is made from aircraft alloy brushed and that right there takes up the price.  What is gimmicky about it ?  The slim design the keys that are half the size of my G910 is what I want.  1.5mm attenuation and what not.  Of course I fall for it.  You pay premium because of the aircraft grade aluminum alloy design.  It is part of the reason why the keyboard is so expensive and sh*T.

The marketing wank aluminum doesn't do nearly as much to price as you seem to think. Most of the cost is coming from the new switch (and trying to make back the R&D cost from that) okay maybe not that and then shoving wireless tech into the board.

"Aircraft-grade aluminum alloy" is a marketing technique aimed at people exactly like you to buy their products.  7075 Aluminium costs up to $10 per kilogram.

??? What Logitech calls the GL switch is just the Kailh Choc switch. It's an off the shelf switch that you can buy loose for $0,60 per switch on Novelkeys (though it used to be $0,35...). Why would Logitech have to make back Kailh's RnD cost? Assuming they just get the switches for a bit below the old price, $0,30 per switch, with 100 keys, that's about $30 for the switches.

Kinda figured with all the marketing wank they were a new switch, I don't follow keyboards closely enough to know who the fuck actually makes them.

They use Romero GL clicky, tactile or linear low profile keys half the size of what you have now, which for me  is a big plus.  Also I picked Linear as I want it to feel like my G910.

I'm going to have to correct you and say the Romer G switch is not the same as Logitech's new GL switch, the Romer G is their own switch made specifically for the Logitech G keyboard line, Romer G is not low-profile.

The GL low-profile switches are Kailh Choc low-profile switches re-branded for Logitech's use with the Logitech G915 Lightspeed.

Oh sorry misujnderstanding..  Of course tech has improved over the last 2 years with the Romero on the G910 and now of course its better technology.

All I'm saying is its not type writer style its much better then the Razer type writer style.  I would mis type get stuck fingers,, Romero GL click and tactile and Linear are new tech for Logitech.  When did I say the old Romero is the same as the G915 or G815 ………… that is part of the reason I bought it ,, Romero GL Linear is my preference and what not.
