Gigabyte Z390 M GAMING vs Gigabyte Z390 M vs msi MPG Z390 Gaming Plus

Hi guys, I need a little bit of help. I am building a server for my office, and I cannot decide on which motherboard to get: I find very little reviews and comparisons between the following motherboards:

1. Gigabyte Z390 M GAMING https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z390-M-GAMING-rev-10/sp#sp

2. Gigabyte Z390 M (cannot find it anywhere in pcpartpicker, Amazon or Newegg, but I can find it in my country's online marketplace) https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z390-M-rev-10#kf

3. msi MPG Z390 GAMING PLUS https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-Z390-GAMING-PLUS/Specification

Why gaming and z390 you say? I find it not the cheapest but the next z390 out there with 2 NVMe slots, an ethernet port, and most importantly it works out of the box without having to guess whether I need to update my BIOS version or not, These motherboards seem to have a very good VRM and VRM heat dissipation.

I considered Gigabyte Z390 UD (https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/Z390-UD-rev-10), but it seems like it only has 1 M.2 slot, otherwise, it would have been perfect. Why 2 M.2? I am thinking of getting 1 M.2 NVMe SSD for my boot drive and programs, and the other M.2 slot is used for optane caching if I opt to use it in the future. I will have 2 x 2TB HDD as my RAID 1 setup storage.

Thank you for helping this novice guy, who has not built a PC in almost 2 decades.

What processor will you use?

You should first decide whether you want a mATX or an ATX.

My apologies Princess Luna, I use intel i-9700 (non-k). I know z390 is for overclockable CPU, but it is the only chipset that I don't have to worry about uograding bios. I have read H370 and B360 may need to upgrade, so I opt for z390.

For me, it doesn't matter ATX or microATX.

Why are you buying the locked 9700? It's pretty bad value and gets outperformed quite handily be cheaper alternatives.

Hi 5x5. My point of consideration is the heat output. I don't need the overclocking ability.

The Gigabyte Z390M GAMING then, it's a solid enough board for the i7 9700 and since it's mATX you can use a significantly smaller case to better space management wherever this server is going to be at.

Pricing also is okay.

It's a fine processor to use... if you want a solid enough octa-core and you'll just use the iGPU, if it fits the budget then that's okay to go.

Thank you for your suggestion, it is a hot-selling product and very hard to get (at a reasonable price) lol. My other option would be the non-gaming version (Z390 M), which idk if it is just the gaming MOBO and just strip out all of the LED.

Yes, I am thinking only iGPU.
