I prefer low profile - which keyboard for me

The Torrent

Idk why idk if it’s only me

but I just so much prefer low profile keys than big chunky normal ones.

so I’m doing a build, need a ideally low profile mechanical rgb keyboard, around £50. What do you recommend?

If you want a keyboard that is stationary grab a Logitech G815.  If that is above your budget then once you tell me your budget in US Dollar well get you the best keyboard for that price.

do u get lower profile ones? like laptop keyboard type keys.

am i the only on who prefers keys like that?

You mean chicklet style then, there aren't any mechanical chicklet style keyboards in your price range afaik. I somewhat like low profile, but hate chicklet style, but that's personal preference.

https://www.newegg.com/p/32N-000A-00095?Description=Tesoro &cm_re=Tesoro-_-9SIA6YZ6X05860-_-Product  this one fits your requirements, but it's 100 bucks, and I doubt you could find this keyboard used.

Do you type a lot? I type A LOT, and I find low profile, flat caps especially very fatiguing, and I make a lot of mistakes when typing with them also.

That's fairly slow for me, and I have a disability,  do you touch type or not?

Not touch typing I never understood that.

but I can just type straight away without looking at the keyboard without needing to feel for the notch’s.

I touch type, I do about 150 on regular mechanical, that plummets to 120 on laptop style keyboards, you should try to learn touch type, that really improves speed.

I know, I was talking about that also, no one really measures characters per minute afaik.

Take a look at this website: https://www.keybr.com/ there are a bit of info on what is touch typing, but also, pretty nice app of sorts to learn it, helped me a lot. Definitely improved my speed.

So after reading that, I do touch type, I don’t look at the keyboard,

also that website seems to talk about improving typespeed to no higher than 70 which I’m already above so don’t think would be that useful.

thats strange tho I just find laptop keyboards so much easier but for you they are harder.

You do a test, then it calculates how much your speed can be improved, and how much time it should take, at least it was like that, it's not limited to being higher than 70 or anything.

Have you looked into MagicForce keyboards? They're not the *most* reliable, but they're in your budget and they give you a lot for your money. Low profile, partly aluminum build, slim design, a few colors to choose from, and a ton of switches to choose.
