Ryzen 7 2700 vs ryzen 5 3600x .. which one should I get for video editing!???

I want to create a pc for video editing 

And I'm confused between ryzen 7 2700 vs ryzen 5 3600x

personally id go with the 3600x, its newer... will have a better upgrade path.

Ryzen 5 3600 is probably better for editing as it's faster single core, and it's better value because it's really similar to the 3600X

A 3600x is just a 3600 with a 100MHz speed boost for maximum boost clock... Unless you like paying $1 for every 2MHz extra, I'd go with the 3600.

you could get the 3600x if you want max performance and don't want to OC the 3600

16gb RAM do you need 32???

 

you need gpu acceleration? the used market(depending on where you are location) for nvidia is generally good deals. though I don't even know your budget..so...

upgrade to a 5700xt at 420$

or a 2070$uper for 500+

or get a used 1080Ti

get the 3600 non x...3600 and 3600x are literally the same cpu. With a $30-40 after market tower cooler, both will boost to the exact mhz (or near mhz based on silicon lottery)
