Gaming PC under 1000CAD

Nick Ray

Hey there, I've been planning to build a new PC for my Girlfriend as hers is around 5 years old. We're looking for something under 1000 CAD (Tower only), should be able to upgrade it in the future as needed. I haven't been in the PC building scene for years as I switched to laptops.

Usage

Gaming : Witcher 3, Overwatch, Left4Dead2, AAA Titles. All other games are mostly smaller indie games.

Performance : 60+ fps at High settings on newer games. ( Overwatch is always at all low 75% so it really doesn't matter ). Light video editing and Digital Art.

AMD / Intel doesn't matter as long as it delivers the most performance for the price, won't be tinkering around with it a lot anyways. This build will be upgraded in the future, but we need something decent to start with for now,

So far the best i've been able to find for the build is :

(PcPartPicker List)
CPU : Ryzen 5 2600

CPU Cooler : - No clue what to get -
GPU : MSI GTX 1660 6gb

RAM : Corsair Vengence LPX 16gb

Motherboard : MSI B450 Tomahawk

Storage : WD Caviar Blue 1TB ( will upgrade to a Samsung 970evo in the future)

PSU : EVGA BR 500w

Case : Reusing her old case, Keeping it a Sleeper till we can afford a dank case with RGB.

OS : Windows 10 Home 64bit

I'll be using NewEgg to order everything. If someone can cut down prices from the preliminary build that would be awesome!

Ryzen 5 2600 @ 4.1GHz

ROG Strix Gtx 1080

Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 16GB

XPG SX8200 256GB

Seagate Barracuda 2TB

Fractal Design Celcius S24

Corsair CX 650M

Phanteks p300A

Windows 10

Dell 7567 i5 7300HQ | GTX 1050 | 16GB - HTPC
