2 Case Fans on my pc not spinning.. Help?

Jayden Preciado

I'm switching my current case to another, almost finished, but 2 of the case fans arent spinning.. Brand new case, here is the link to it. https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categories/Products/Cases/Mid-Tower-ATX-Cases/Carbide-Series-SPEC-DELTA-RGB-Tempered-Glass-Mid-Tower-ATX-Gaming-Case-%E2%80%94-Black/p/CC-9011166-WW Dunno if its a motherboard issue, or something else.

This might be a bit of an obvious one, but have you tried reseating the fan cables into their connectors?

If you have and the fans don't spin, there's a way to check whether it's the connectors or the fans - connect other fans to those particular connectors, and connect the non spinning fans to connectors that do work. Whichever component doesn't work either way is the faulty one.

I'm guessing it's the fans because you didn't have problems with your motherboard fan headers before, did you?

Thats a pretty naive answer. Even brand new things can be faulty

There's a chance they came dead on arrival, it's low but it does happen.

Either way when you do the test you'll find out for sure whether it's motherboard or fans.

If the fans are indeed DOA, use your case's warranty to get replacements from Corsair.com. I've heard their customer support is pretty decent, though I haven't had to RMA anything with them.

Where are the fans connected to? Have you tested with other headers and/or fans? Have you tested by connecting fans directly to PSU? And yes, dead on arrival is a thing. Rare, but happens. Until you test everything, fans can be the problem.
