It's fine I've used it to drive a lot of things but doubt it will make much of a difference with those cans. unless your normal source just sucks

It was a goop choice back then.

Better: https://www.amazon.co.uk/FX-Audio-Optical-Coaxial-Amplifier/dp/B06XCQ8CCM/ref=sr_1_2?keywords=x6+dac&qid=1566137875&s=electronics&sr=1-2

It comes with more output performance / Power compared to the Fiio, soundquality is also at least as good.

Fiio has 200 mW at 32 Ohm. X6 comes with 910 mW.

M50x aren't difficult to drive, so it won't matter for you right now that much. But if you upgrade your headphone at some point, it might be.

But i would prefer the X6. Audio quality is at least as good, much more output Power, more connections, and slightly Cheaper.

Edit: Also, keep in mind: Depending on where your headphones are connected right now, you might not hear a difference.

You're fine! You're making a huge fuss out of nothing. Just plug your M50x directly into the motherboard and rock on! Don't let these so-called "tech review" sites coerce you into buying something that you ABSOLUTELY DON'T NEED.

I know the quality is fine but i think something is not working properly as there are weird sounds when doing anything that uses audio and all i can really describe it as is its like artefacts in the audio if you understand what i'm trying to say, i think i damaged it while cleaning the motherboard at one point and the warranty is long gone so i'm looking for a more permanent solution.

Edit: I also want to have a better cable solution as the cable comes of the left of the ear cup and my pc's on the right so i want to put the amp to my left so i'm not constantly annoyed by the cable.

Then a cheap low impedance dac amp would be an ok solution like a fiio k3 or a fiio e10k just personally wouldn't spend too much on that headphone . It's not that good or power hungry to really benefit

Oh dang! You’ll need a cheap DAC then. I wish you could just plug one of those $10 iPhone headphone dongles but the lightning cable won’t work. For the price of DAC you can buy another motherboard. These things are overpriced for what they are. I found something for $20:

I have really bad experiences with them, like the time i got a £30 one for my Xbox as the audio jack on the controller just died and the new controller wasn't coming for 2 months and after 5 minutes it completely destroyed the right driver in my turtle beaches and a minute later THE WHOLE USB PORT IT WAS ATTACHED TOO !!! Note that it was made specifically for the Xbox one

You’ll have to swallow the pill and buy a $100 DAC then. It’s not the end of the world. You can trust Fiio, Audioquest, Schiit and Micca. They all make DACs for $100.
