Old Dell Laptop Screen Freezes and Flickers

So I'm trying to repair my parents old Dell laptop and I wanted to get some insight from people who are more experienced than me to know if the screen needs to be replaced completely. Everytime the laptop is powered on the screen will freeze or flicker depending on the position of the screen. As shown in the video you can see that it only does this when the cable is moved. So do you think that this could just be the cable that connects from the motherboard to the display? Or is the whole screen garbage? A new display on Aliexpress is about $60 CAD so I would hate to see my parents spend that much money when maybe the cable could just be the problem? And what do I search on Aliexpress to find that cable?

 

 

A side note: does anyone know if the batteries on Aliexpress are any good? The battery is garbage too so it could be replaced for another $40 CAD on Aliexpress but if it isn't any good at holding a charge then it would be a waste of money.

How would I find a replacement? I searched on Aliexpress "wistron lcd cable 504em03401" but nothing came up with that model number. Are display cables kind of universal? Or does it have to be that specific one?
