Hello Folks.

I have never played Zelda and feel like I'm missing out on something as a gamer.

Now I'm wondering, where should I begin? In chronological order? Or N64 versions?

Thanks. :)

I never actually played the original, but you could start the new ones at Ocarina of Time, then Wind Waker, then Probably Twilight Princess

You might aswell give up on the timeline. Playing them in order makes very little impact on the series as a whole.

I would start with A Link to the Past (SNES), since that is my favorite game in the series, but Ocarina of Time (N64) is a very close second.

I have never played it either, but I would have to say Wind Waker. According to my friends, it is one of (if not the) best Zeldas made to date.

Personally I would say start with the handhelds then move on the consoles.

Wind Waker is a very good starter. OOT is very slow in the beginning and Majora's Mask although my favorite would not be the best to play first.

start with the oldest you can get your hands on and then go on my two favorite Zelda games the ocarina of time and the wind waker but if you can get the link to the past I would recommend playing but you would need the super nintendo

These are the the 3 primary ones to play for consoles (add Majora's Mask to Ocarina of Time, they go hand in hand).

I wouldn't bother trying to understand a story to it. As Volbet's picture shows, it's complicated.

Hmm this is an interesting question.

Normally people just start with which ever one they grew up with. Although I think you must play oot and majoras mask, it might be better starting with something like windwaker or twilight princess. I would start with the 3d ones then move onto the top down ones to see if they catch your interest.

Oh man Volbet. That picture made me so nostalgic for the story of the Legend of Zelda.

I want to play them all now. So bad. D: Thanks a lot.

Thanks. :)

Begin with Zelda : A Link to the Past (SNES) and then play Zelda : Ocarine of Time (N64), after that ask the community. I haven't played the gamecube titles. Just with those two, if you don't look at walkthroughs, you're in for a few months.
