Keep in mind I am talking about these headphones as a user, not an audio reviewer.

Personally I really like mine. Super comfortable.

The bass is not great on it, but I am not someone that needs that a lot.

Really clear sound too.

The cable on the 250 Ohm version can be seen as annoying (it's one of those 'telephone cables') it is shorter and somewhat heavier, but I personally have gotten used to it.

At the moment I do not use it with any sort of special audio equipment. It's actually connected to my monitor's 3.5mm jack, which gets Displayport audio.

I don't listen to high volume content, so it gets plenty loud for me. Only on my phone do I need to crank the volume.

Oh and keep in mind this is open back, so it has an excellent soundstage, but leaks quite a bit of sound.

I think the best way is just to Test it out. I will put it into my x570 mobo and this should work good enough.

But just to know, i still test it with the G6. If its not worth, i will Send it back. But would be nice to hear some more opinions from other DT 990 Pro Users ?

Just double check the store your buying from allows returns on headphones.

I'm just gonna mention some DT 990 owners, in the hopes they are able to share their opinions/experiences:

@NonaHexa , @rice guru , @zindan

So heya people who I tagged, if you're in the ability to share your opinion on the DT 990 (saw you have one mentioned on your profile), that would be awesome :)

If it has more power than. A fiio e10k it should be good enough. I believe the g6 is in fact more powerful but if it isn't try out the fx audio DAC x6 definitely has enough power only thing your missing. Out on is virtual surround sound. And is also a cheaper unit. I love them for gaming  and I also really like them for music but for a lot of people they can be very treble heavy but my amp pairs really well with it. I find my amp to smooth out the highs to the point where i stopped eq'ng them.

@zindan I want to know, is the DT 990 Pro a good choice for my needs? (very good soundquality, i need to hear where the sounds (foodsteps, explosions, gun shots etc.) are coming from)

Look bro, I thought it was gonna help me in fortnite but it really didn't. I even got this amp https://www.emusic.se/product/39600/art-headamp-4?gclid=Cj0KCQjwj_XpBRCCARIsAItJiuSi46YWqguhqg9_hetXJLPOrZCUidPgZS25a_zz4COIWeLcFIi14t8aAhttEALw_wcB

The only thing I got was like goood quality but not like a super hidden alien function that enables something which makes it easier to hear steps. You know ninja and those they use some kind of tools to like I don't know what it's called but it's expensive as fuck. And like it's not just the headphones. You definitely get quality, It's amazing sound. But honestly my cousin has hyperx and he can hear footsteps better than me in fortnite. :)

I find I can track footsteps better on the 990 than my buddies hyper x cloud 2. It's all about game sense and how we you can read your opponent.

I just went into the member search and looked for people that mentioned 'DT 990' in the audio section of their profile (so I would only find people with DT 990 and more listed in the audio section of their profile).

Then I just looked at the most active users, so ye that's how I found it.

Personally I always thought the Cloud II was kind of overrated for it's gaming purpose. It just didn't have the soundstage that people claimed it had and the microphone was mediocre from what I remember (even for a gaming headset).
