How do the servers at LTT work?

The title really says it all for this one. I want to set up a server that it similar to what LTT has/had set up.

 

I know that this is not easy to respond to as a majority of you are not working at LTT/LMG.

They have several different servers which all serve different purposes. Obviously there is the storage servers, I know they have an ingest server as well and transcode server, not 100% sure if those are separate or not. There is also the fast SSD server which might have been part of one of the earlier two mentioned servers. There are probably a couple more I'm forgetting about right now.

For what purpose? We may not know the exact details of LMG's server closet (even though there are quite a few videos on that) but we can help you find something to suit your needs.

Anthony is probably your best help as to how LMG runs their servers. @GabenJr

I want to create a server that 2-3 people can work off of, and also so that I can store files there.

 

I wanted to know how the Ingest and/or transcode server worked as my interest for servers and NAS's in the first place was piqued after hearing about these two, and then I learned that a storage/work server could actually be practical.
