ultrawide monitors larger than 38 inches?

AntonioP

I mean besides all the superultrawide 49" 32/9 monitors.

I'm excluding that format only because while I love the ultrawide ratio I feel that the 32/9 does not have the vertical space I'd like to have.

So I'm curious to know if there is, even if not already available, any rumour/announcement for the kind of display I'd like to have. 21/9 or even other ratios (24/9 maybe? I don't even know if such a thing exists).

And I obviously know that in the normal 16/9 ratio there are already many large monitors.

Thank you in advance!

Haven't heard yet any rumors of ultrawide PC monitor with a height more than 14.4".

But 39"-41" 4320x1800 would be nice.

looking on display wars that one is tall exactly as a 27" monitor 16/9 or a 34" 21/9, so while I'm sure it looks awesome it still has the problem of a bit limited vertical space.

then get a curved tv :D used market is full of them right now at least around here. and that should be enough vertical. i imagine a 4k curved samsung might do quite well as a monitor

105" TV is the only displays larger. There is nothing between the currently available sizes and the TV's.

Well problem with these ultra wide monitors are  your going to get black borders and that sux ballz.. I rather have 16:9 to see it full screen high quality. Then I can play at resolution I want and it will fit the screen fully.  But if you launch a game you have to use the native resolution which only 2080Ti can handle stuff like 3440x1600x  ..

I rather have nice 4k monitor which mines is pretty good, then when I launch a game I use 1440p ...... But if you use 1440p you will get black bars on those ultra wide monitors and what not.  not for me!

I never have seen any black bars when i play a game, cinamatics get black bars yeah but in-game think 99% just scale with resolution/aspect

16:9 is just a dumb aspect, i also hate it for movies since i have a lens shift projector i never see a movie in 16:9

Sorry you misunderstood.  If you play games on native resolution then yes no black bars.. BUt if you watch a 1080p video on utube its going to have black borders ,, netflix will have black bars because yoru @ 21:9 or 32:9 ratio and must use its native resolution still get black bars cuz videos are done in 16:9  But yes games if you use native res no black bars.  Watch a utube video and youll see your black bars if your at 21:9 or 32:9 as videos are 16:9 aspect ratio and what not.... This is the flaw, I dont have time to pay 1500 dollars for a 49" samsung 32:9 and watch utube and netflix and videos with black bars as they once again are 16:9 and what not.
