I have two cases in mind, one being the FSP CMT230(57$) and the other being the Thermaltake V200 Tempered Glass RBG Edition(85$). I read about the Meshify C in other threads but it is 133$ in my country which is way more than what I wanna spend on a case. Both these cases have cooler fans in them and I want to ask how loud are these fans? I can't find any info regarding the preinstalled fans in these cases (only their size).

My next question is PSU. Don't know what are the safety features I should look for in a PSU etc. The build is gonna be:

MSI B450 (not yet sure which board is it gonna be due to the bios problems with 3rd gen ryzen currently)

Radeon RX 5700 XT

Ryzen R5 3600

HyperX 16GB 3200Mhz CL16

Intel 660p 1TB PCIe x4 M.2

Budget for the PSU is about 120$ and for reference the Seasonic Focus Plus 650W 80+ Gold is 120$ for me. Was looking at the Thermaltake ToughPower Grand RGB 650W 80+ Gold as well almost same price.

+1 Question: What do you think about the Intel 660p SSD? Is it better if I go with a Samsung 860 QVO 1TB Sata? Should I sacrifice the speed increase from PCIe for perhaps better build quality (Samsung)? This Sata Samsung is 7$ more expensive than the PCIe Intel.

What is your country, budget and usecase? We can try to sort out a parts list so that it's a balanced build for your use-case.

-don't get 5700xt until aib models come. the stock card runs super hot and loud, and because of that, the clockspeeds are quite low.

-intel 660p is pretty good for the price

-Seasonic Focus Plus 650W 80+ Gold is a Tier A PSU according to the tier list, so it's decent. Thermaltake ToughPower Grand RGB 650W is Tier B, so not worth sacrificing PSU quality. If you're unsure about PSU choice, refer to the PSU Tier List and stick with Tier A and above. Tier S should only be for very high end systems which require a lot of power.

If I'm not wrong, certain B450 motherboards allow for BIOS flashing without a CPU. Essentially you can update the bios without a 2nd/1st gen ryzen cpu. I think one of those is the MSI B450 Tomahawk.

As for the case fans, I  found that the Thermaltake's fans run at 16dbA at a speed of 1000rpm. That was what I found on the page of the case. However, searching on Thermaltakes website, the same case fans are at a max of 25.6dbA and 1500RPM. decent specs too. Airflow on this case will be really bad though.

Get a TX550M should be perfect in terms of PSU.

Only issue with it is OCP related issues, which makes it "meh".

Need to know OP's country before deciding on PSU. In certain countries certain brands are super super expensive. Like for example here in Singapore, Corsair's PSU's have like a 40% markup over MSRP, while all the other PSUs are at maybe 10-15% markup

Living in Hungary but I don't know which brands are more expensive here.

I am waiting for the aib cards but there are a lot of bugs with the radeon drivers as well so I'm kinda waiting for those to get fixed as well.

I can get the TX550M for about 84$.

What cases come with good airflow if you guys could suggest some?

Oh and usecase is mainly gaming but without any OC.

I can suggest all the cases in the world with good airflow, but it doesnt do me any good if you cant get the in Hungary! What are your main Retialers (I:E, can you buy from places like Amazon.de?) Also other than $133 is too much for a case, we still dont know the max budget of the case.

I can buy from Amazon yes so feel free to suggest any brand/product. I don't wanna spend more than 120$ish on the case.

Okay cool

On amazon you can find the Meshify C for under 100 euros (I dont know if there's VAT or import fees though)

https://www.amazon.de/dp/B079FQZM89/?tag=pcp05-21&th=1

A "Meshify" version of the V200 would be the Coolermaster MB511 RGB for 81 euro

Ryzen OC is almost useless unless you're on a custom loop or LN2 anyway, as proven by Gamers Nexus. Precision Boost does an excellent job with pushing your CPU to the max clock given temperature and power constraints.

100% agree with @TVwazhere's choices, most modern cases have tempered glass panels right in front of the front fans. This means very little air is actually pulled in by those fans. The Meshify C and MB511 RGB have a mesh at the front which helps airflow a lot.

Reason as to why I asked for country was also because in South East Asia, we have certain budget-friendly case brands that basically take a popular case, rip off the design and make the construction cheaper and sell it at a huge discount(usually 50-80% discount for a 20-30% reduction in build quality). AFAIK many other areas/countries have such case brands

I know it is kinda pointless I just wanted to clarify I am not the kinda guy who messes with stock settings in any way :D
I convinced myself to go with some better quality parts as this is a completely new build so it's better if I can keep some parts like the case and PSU in a future upgrade.

Thanks for all of you guys for the helpful tips!
