Can my phone get a virus if I host a hotspot and an infected phone connects?

Hello can my phone get a virus if a infected phones joins a hotspot that I host? Also if someone downloads an infected file while in my hotspot can I get infected?

No. If you have an open hotspot however someone could eavesdrop on connected devices.

Only if your phone's firmware is fucking stupid and leaves ports open for connected devices to worm in through or there's a bug in the DHCP-server or similar. In most cases, though, the answer is no.
