Rage 2 is already at half price on Steam, just 2 months after its release. Sounds familiar...

I remember GTA 5 did the same thing back in June of 2015, 2 months after its release on Steam.

If you want to save 5% more, buy it here... Rage 2 at GameBillet for just $26.80.

More notable historic lows during this QuakeCon sale...

There are several other Bethesda titles on sale right now but most of the rest are not historic lows.

EDIT: I did find a few more near historic lows worth considering in this sale...

  • QUAKE II is just $1.64 right now on Steam and Fanatical. It hasn't been this low since April. Been waiting on this price since Quake II RTX.
  • DOOM 3 is just $1.64 right now on Steam and GMG. Also hasn't been this low since April.
  • Return to Castle Wolfenstein is just $1.64 right now on Steam and just $1.56 at GMG. Also hasn't been this low since April.

Be sure to check Fanatical or GMG if you by chance have yet to use GameBillet for a price falling in between Steam and GameBillet on the deals I mentioned above. For example, DOOM is just $6.27 at GMG but not at Fanatical, while Fallout 4 is $6.89 at Fanatical but not at GMG.

Noticed Rage 2 as well this morning.  Reminded me of Fallout 76 in that it seems to have poor reviews and an early onset steep discount as a result.  Didn't know about that happening with GTA V.

Solve your own audio issues  |  First Steps with RPi 3  |  Humidity & Condensation  |  Sleep & Hibernation  |  Overclocking RAM  |  Making Backups  |  Displays  |  4K / 8K / 16K / etc.  |  Do I need 80+ Platinum?

If you can read this you're using the wrong theme.  You can change it at the bottom.

Fallout 4 made me motion sick before I could get past the starting phase. I have no doubt that Doom would wreck my inner ear, but that price is very enticing. I have a friend that's looking to get it, I'll be sure to tell him.

Most people didn't know because it was just a one day sale back on June 15th, 2015. It shot back up to full price and didn't hit half price again until November 23rd, 2016. Since the full price is now $30.00, it pretty much hits half price monthly. It has yet to hit $10.00 but regularly sees $11.00 to $13.00.

I'd rather play either Fallout 3, NV or 4 than 76. Much more affordable and probably better games overall. I probably won't be buying Rage 2 until I complete Rage. I still play it because it was literally $1.00 not too long ago. Plus Rage is actually a really good game. It plays pretty much like if Borderlands wasn't cel shaded. I've been avoiding everything to do with Rage 2 so by the time it hits around $10.00 to $15.00, it will still be super fresh for me.

How? I don't remember F4 being too crazy early on. Must be because I haven't played it in years.

DOOM is one of the best games you'll rarely play. That's how I describe it. It's not boring by any means and provides some of the best game play possible. But for some reason, I rarely play it. I dunno if it's because I've played the original for hundreds of hours or what. Bought it in December of 2016 for $19.79 and have only put in around 9 hours. Half in the campaign and half in multiplayer. Which is a complete shame. Even the multiplayer is fun as hell.

DOOM is easily worth the $19.79 I paid for it. Even if I rarely play it. It's that damn good. When I do play it, INSANELY engaging. Tough to put down on that day.

I honestly don’t know. I could have been off that day. The Witcher 3 doesn’t cause me any problems, Subnautica totally does but it takes a while.

Did you ever play Skyrim by chance?  By default it was fov 65 iirc and I don't know if fallout 4 was the same but if so that could do it.  Idk why they're so lazy when porting from console that they can't be bothered to set it to something sane like 90 or at least just have a slider but at least it's easy to change with the in-game commands.  Might want to try that, humans were not designed to walk around looking at life through a telescope, your discomfort is understandable.

I think Fallout 4 uses 80 or 85
I use 97 for Fallout 4 and 100 for Skyrim SE.

Hey, if anyones thinking about buying from the quakecon sale, please look into buying from https://www.gog.com/promo/bethesda_week

It's run by CD Projekt Red, the same people who made the Witcher 3, and they give a better cut to the developers; though it's all probably going to go to Bethesda in this case... Nevertheless, you get the games 100% DRM Free, and can download your backup installers if you're paranoid like me (I think bethesda is going to conglomerate and put all of their games on the bethesda store, even the old ones).

+1 for GoG, excellent lads there. They're the ones behind the multiplayer patch for Battlefront II 2005 as well IIRC, and included crossplay with Steam so people can play with their friends. They're probably the ones who got the licensing for Battlefront 2004 as well. I'd emailed them before and asked if they could add it, they said licensing was an issue but they're always looking to get classics. And now just a month or so ago they added it to their library and Steam has it as well now. DRM free is awesome as well, I've used multiple installs to play LAN games with my siblings, without needing multiple accounts and multiple copies of the same game.

Only one of the games I mentioned above is on sale at GOG and I have no intention to pay more money for it at GOG. I rarely even visit GOG because they simply don't have the best prices and they certainly don't have the best variety of games. They are mostly devoted to classic games which is a shame because you'd think the prices on those classic games would be LESS than everywhere else.

You're not going to convince me to pay $5.00 for ANY classic game and that's pretty much what they're trying to do.

They have these 3 for $1.97-$6.59, and they have way more than steam provides.

Also, I have a special spot for a lot of these games. They have the 5 actually good Fallouts on sale for $2.49-$4.99, and RTCW is only $1.97. They don't just sell classic games, if you buy Cyberpunk 2077 off of them, CD Projekt Red will receive way more than when you buy it off of Steam. Indie devs use GOG too. It's not just a "Oh I can get old games on this site" site anymore, it's really more of a indie platform, and actual decent games platform that cares about the devs that sell there.

Quake II is double the price at GOG vs what it currently costs on Steam. GOG does NOT sell DOOM 3 yet GreenManGaming sells Doom 3 for $1.56 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein costs more than what GreenManGaming charges.

$2.49 for a couple of two decade old games that have been given out for free multiple times? No thanks. And both Fallout 3 and New Vegas are less than half the price at GreenManGaming right now than at GOG.

Not interested in a game that won't even be playable for another 9 months from now. Still won't be interested in paying $60.00 for ANY game at any point in time.

I could care less about this. Not one single ounce of care. I don't put much thought into the life of a game developer and I don't see that as being a problem by any means.

Oh I know all about GOG and its wonders. But I have yet to buy a single game from them. And I will show you why. I own around 40 GOG games(of which a good dozen are demos) and I have GOG Galaxy installed. The following games are in my GOG library and I got each and every one of them for free...

  • Beneath A Steel Sky
  • Bio Menace
  • DISTRAINT Deluxe Edition
  • Dungeons II
  • Eschalon Book I
  • Flight of the Amazon Queen
  • Full Throttle Remastered
  • Grim Fandango Remastered
  • GWENT The Witcher Card Game
  • Jill of the Jungle The Complete Trilogy
  • Lure of the Temptress
  • Obduction
  • Oddworld Abe's Oddysee
  • Oxenfree
  • Saints Row 2
  • Sang-Froid Tales of Werewolves
  • Shadow Warrior 2
  • Shadow Warrior Classic Complete
  • Shadowrun Returns
  • SOMA
  • Stargunner
  • Teenagent
  • The King of Fighters 2002
  • The Witcher Enhanced Edition
  • Toonstruck
  • Tyrian 2000
  • Unreal Gold
  • Warsow (rare to have this game because it's no longer on GOG)
  • Xenonauts
  • Ziggurat

I also have the Kathy Rain and Stories Untold demos in my GOG library but I have since gotten both of those full games for free all thanks to Epic Games. The GOG demo versions of games are actually very decent. Including games like Xenonauts 2, The Long Reach, Shadow Tactics Blades of the Shogun, Crossing Souls, Dex, Seven The Days Long Gone, Silence and the new System Shock game that still have yet to be released. Love that System Shock demo but it really heats up your hardware due to not being able to tweak any graphic settings yet.

It's pretty much the same story with Epic Games. To me, GOG and Epic Games are merely free game providers. Origin used to be the same way but they have much more affordable prices nowadays.

Fallout on PC is insanely better than it is on console for multiple reasons. Higher resolution. Higher fps. Mods. Bug fixes. Some people have a tough time getting 3 and NV to run on PC but if you're tech savvy you should be fine.

Why would you pay $25.00 for all 3 of those games with all their DLC? Who has that kind of time on their hands? Even the base games provide hundreds of hours. You're much better off buying each game individually for dirt cheap prices right now. Even GameBillet has been taking off more pennies off their current prices...

Fallout 4 $5.79 at GameBillet

Fallout New Vegas $2.37 at GMG + FREE Game + 7% Off Next Purchase

Fallout 3 $2.37 at GMG + FREE Game + 7% Off Next Purchase

$10.53 for all 3 base games is the much better deal and completely worth it. Plus you would get 2 free games. Even though the 95 Bronze free games to choose from aren't the best of games there is a few that might catch your eye. And you could use the 7% off towards the other Fallout game bringing it to $2.20 and the total for all three base games would be $10.36.

I want to say you could buy both Fallout 3 and Fallout NV from GMG and use both 7% vouchers to get 14% off Fallout 4 bringing it down to $6.12 at GMG so you could then get the benefit of buying Fallout 4 at GMG because it's a Gold Tier game thus you would get 15% off another game with that purchase and you get 5 other free games in the process. ALSO... you can use the current weekend voucher code WKND10 for an additional 10% off ANY of these purchases at GMG. That would bring Fallout 4 to $5.51. That would be $10.08 for all three of these Fallout games.

And you could choose to sell off those 5 free games to ultimately pay $0.00 for all three of these Fallout games. If you were so inclined. Star Trek Bridge Crew(one of the 5 free games you'll get) alone would get you all your money back, easy. People pay $10.00 to $20.00 for Star Trek Bridge Crew all day long.
