Internet Speed is about 100Mb/s one every device but only 20Mb/s on PC

My internet speed on my PC doesn't match up with any other device in the house ever since we changed from Talk Talk to Virgin. I use a Netgear Powerline PL1000 Adapter to connect my PC to the internet which was fine until we changed provider. I am unable to find anything to sort this problem.

Power line adapters have a speed rating but rarely reach it.

 

I think what you have is reasonable for a cheaper end or older powerline adapter, it certainly is in my experience.

 

I would go wireless if you can get a good adapter and wireless router.

 

I found ping and speed improved but stability/variability suffered when going from powerline to wireless.

 

Now I run a cable and my PC is the lowest ping, fastest and most stable connection.
