Shopping for Wifi + Bluetooth adapter

Xelaa

Hello, I am currently in the search for a Wifi adapter since my motherboard did not come with a wifi feature.  I have not done a ton of research and I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions/links to wifi adapters.  I am also considering if getting a seperate Wifi and Bluetooth adapter would be more cost effective but I am not sure.  Can someone please help point me in the right direction?

getting a seperate Wifi and Bluetooth adapter

From what I have read, Intel makes some of the best adapters. Though most of them if not all are M.2 adapters, there are a few cards on the market that basically are an adapter to an M.2 WiFi adapter. Many of the M.2 WiFi adapters also have bluetooth built in. Otherwise your going to have to use some USB adapter for bluetooth from what I have seen.

I just want to sit back and watch the world burn.

What about PCIe cards?

From the research I have done, I have found a lot of USB wifi Adapters and PCIe cards.  However I have not ran into much M.2 adapters.

Is there a clear advantage to using USB vs PCIe vs M.2 wifi adapters?

USB are shit. PCIe or M.2 will pretty much work the same and are going to be the best. Id say PCIe cards might support faster speeds based on the fact that some of these cards have heatsinks on the chipset.

What are your thoughts on this wifi adapter?

It should work. I bought a cheap ass $6.99 Bluetooth USB adapter on amazon and it works fairly well. So getting Bluetooth shouldn’t cost too much more.
