8400 will not bottleneck a 2080ti

well but how much does it "isn't as good" tho

If the OC is good, say 4.6ghz+, in games where the extra cores don't matter, the 6700k is going to be better.

At stock, the 6700k is 4.2ghz/4.0 all core, the 8400 4.1/3.8) will be about the same or better in most scenarios

Two CPUs and one question, which one can carry the 2060 super and less bottleneck than the other?

The argument begins

Give me 5 minutes with that 6700K i'll push those 8 threads balls to the wall and then no i5-8XXX can touch it...overclocked 8600K is the competition for this chip.

yea, I can agree with this but its hard to judge. A well overclocked 6700k should be similar to a mild overclocked 7700k which should be faster than a 8400

going back to the original question though, stock for stock, either cpu will drive a 2060 super to near identcal frame rates. most reviews out there use a 2080ti for their benches which might show a larger gap but I don't think it matters on a 2060...it will be a virtual tie

See games dong even really give a shit about GPU either though, and are also poorly optimized.

Say WoW, you'll get better performance out of a highly clocked 6700k than an 8400, even with something like a 2060

here i found this. it is an average of gaming benchmarks from this article. As you can see...8400 is very close to 7700k. The 6700k stock would be just slightly slower than 7700k so my guess, 6700k would be virtualy tied with 8400.

6700k was great in its day but it isn't as good.

It depends on the resolution and refresh rate, as well as the game.  If you were trying to run something at 240hz 1080p, then neither CPU would keep up with a 2080 Ti.  But if you're leaving a 6700k at stock speeds then they'll be virtually identical, with the 8400 winning out in newer games.

Make sure to quote or tag me (@JoostinOnline) or I won't see your response!
