Greetings gentlemen,

I just got a new pair of headphones and am now confronted with the task of burning them in. First of all, am I wasting my time by burning them in? If not, how should I go about doing it? I've seen youtube playlists with white/brown/pink noise claiming to "burn in headphones", should I play those through the headphones while I'm at work, or is that just a gimmick?
-Thanks a lot

It's a natural process that happens over time. It could take a few hours, it could take a few weeks - I'd say just use the headphones, enjoy them and eventually they'll burn in. :)

As others have said, just use them as you would normally and over time if the burn in was needed it will happen naturally.

What i was wondering would be, if you have an Amp (maybe like mine in sig rig) would it make the burn in faster. I am not qualified to answer that. but maybe look into that too.

Also no point in good headphones without a good quality of media, Amp, Dac. But it all depends on budget and how you want to use your headphones. Just a suggestion. :)

I prefer to have someone else burn in my headphones.

They even pay me a little for it :P

Will work for electronic components and parts
