Posted July 17, 2019 I'm in the market for a new monitor, but I need advice and I'm unsure as to which would be a better gaming experience. I'm fairly sure my rig could handle both of these, but open to counter points. Examples of good monitors that meet these criteria would be great too. At 1080p, it will be no problem with a 2060S. 8700K @ 5.2ghz 1.29V, 4x8 Rev.E @ 4040 13-20-20-39 1.7V.
 Posted July 17, 2019 1060P 1440Hz for sure. I made the mistake of buying a 1440p 60hz monitor. You won't gain much of it other than more desktop space. You'll enjoy the higher frame rates more than just a few extra pixels. Posted July 17, 2019 personally Im using 1440p 144Hz. I appreciate both "advantages" over 1080p 60hz. If I had to choose, Id side with going for 144Hz. Thats much more noticeable than the resolution alone. However, it always depends on budget, workloads, and preferences in the end. high quality 1440p 144hz will probably stay in your room / office for longer, but its quite expensive tbh.
