It's not possible to do the alt char codes on the numpad? I'm forced to buy a USB gadget?  I really need those for French.

You could try binding certain keys to different keys, so like binding a certain letter to num 1 using some kind of software. However this is not really suitable for this thread.

Aight just bought a USB device and ALT codes still don't work.

 

I tried FN + ALT as well. 

 

Any ideas?
