What memory and have you identified the cpu is holding the clock speed under full load?

8700K @ 5.2ghz 1.29V, 4x8 Rev.E @ 4040 13-20-20-39 1.7V.

Isnt that roughly what you should be getting from Cinebench r15?

(3,9 ghz isnt a lot for the 2nd gens)

Which version of Cinebench? They give wildly different scores.

Thats not normal. My 8400 @3.8ghz gets 980 w/o SMT (r15)

Cinebench R15 on my 1600 @ 3.8Ghz did 1200 with DDR4-2133, seems a bit unlikely that a newer chip with a higher clock would do worse.

Sounds like a failed OC then. Ryzen can behave that way.

Looking at scores for the different versions, I'm guessing R15. My 2600 at 4.2 GHz scored 1452. Scale that down to 3.9, would be 1348, quite a bit higher than OP's 1096. The bench doesn't really care about ram performance so look around the CPU. Make sure nothing else was running in the background (re-run the test). Also check clocks and thermals while running, is it limiting?

I did my 4.0 1600 on R20 and it was 28xx iirc

Back in R15 it was in the 1300s?
