Very Hot VRMs

specs:
i7 8700K (non OC)

Corsair H115i Pro Platinum 280mm rad (top mounted)
MSI Z370 Tomahawk
4x 8GB Corsair Vengeance PRO 3200MHz

I regularly do video encoding which uses 100% of the CPU, no problem there.
Since the AIO, I am not hitting over 72 C while under full load on the chip but the VRM on the left gets frickin hot.
The one on the top gets airflow from AIO, it is hot to the touch but still aight. The one on the left, i can burn my finger on.
IS this okay, do i fix this ?

How hot is hot?

 

They should be rated for 5000 hours at 105 degrees.

 

You can put a slow spinning fan above it if you like.

2x ML 140 on the front - intake
1x ML 140 on the back - out
2x ML 140 on the top - out - AIO

Also no side pannel on

sometimes the side panel helps with airflow but like someone said , VRMs are designed to run hot. I built a mate a PC in a cheap case and there was a eddy current around the VRMs. They lived at 80-85C.

i ill check the temps when i get home. might idd just be like 80C.

It is meant to get hot sorta like how M.2 SSD gets about twice as hot as SSD.  But I did research and they say its meant to get really hot to work properly and what not.  If things are nice and hot then something is wrong / your PC isn't turning on LOL

If really concerned get an L shape piece of metal (or 2 if you use same size fan as your exhaust fan since you have an AIO and a CPU cooler wont be in the way) drill hole in each end of the L shape and affix it to the inner screw(s) into the rear exhaust fan creating a second bracket to mount a fan on to actively cool your VRMs.  I.E. you can go 40/80mm, use 1 L shape bracket and never worry about it again.  If you do it right it wont look bad at all either.

Didn't know this existed...DIY is so much cheaper (watching video on it now, neat idea however)
