AMD Catalyst 13.35 Beta Driver with Mantle API Leaked

straight from Robert Hallock at AMD (Thracks):

"Update: The "Mantle" driver reported by WCCFTech and other websites does not actually contain any libraries for Mantle. As of today, the driver's code is more than 6 weeks old and generates irrelevant performance.

Note for Win 8.1 ONLY to install and use this driver you must disable the driver signature enforcement every boot, or enable the test mode!!!

Again with the Mantle hype. Those are just the new beta/alpha drivers, has nothing to do with Mantle.

Why? There isn't any software that uses Mantle yet. AMD has been hyping the shit out of it without showing proper results, other then "it CAN BE UP TO 45% faster". Also, the last time AMD said something like that, it was with the 290, that one was suppose to beat Nvidia, but guess what, it didn't. And Mantle will again be far less good as they are making it out to be.

Mantle demo. With comparison to DirectX11. Also commentary by a game engine dev, who expects game developers to be able to make RTS games with battles on the scale of Helm's Deep (that massive battle at the end of the second LotR movie)

Fraps doesn't work with Mantle.

Also you need a Mantle supported game otherwise the driver is pointless so you'll have to wait for the BF4 patch.

i'm just gonna do a normal benchmark without mantle  :P

Battlefield 4 has a built in FPS counter (perfoverlay.drawfps 1).
