which ram configuration is faster?

2400mhz at CL 13 or

2133mhz at CL 11

https://www.crucial.com/usa/en/memory-performance-speed-latency

states that cas latency alone doesn't say the whole story and that true latency is calculated as clock cycle time (ns) x number of clock cycles (CL)

the thing is that there is nowhere mentioned the clock cycle time. maybe hwinfo displays somewhere this value?

2133 CL11 should score better in latency but 2400 CL13 will have better transfer rates.

tCAS is also known as tCL, confusing right?

Basically, call the wall of text in that webpage BS. All it tries to say is that memory timings consists of many numbers and tCAS doesn't mean everything, which is true tho they spent way too much time and text on it.

Take sprinting race as an example, just because you're faster in taking off the line doesn't mean I can't beat you by just running faster after starting off. Of course if I react way too late then I'm still gonna lose (hence why super high frequency at the cost of super high tCAS dont turn into real world performance), hence a balance between bandwidth and latency is the way for the highest real world speed.

I'd say 2400 CL13 is still faster overall.

Ram latency in real time is (CAS multplier) x (1/(frequency/2))

So, 11 x 1/(2,133,000,000/2)

Vs

13 x 1/(2,400,000,000/2)

And the 2133 kit comes to 1.03 x 10^-8, while the 2400 kit comes to 1.08 x 10^-8 so the 2133 has lower latency.

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B
