Hello all,

Do you know of a good graphics card for 1440p gaming? Trying to average about 80-100 fps. Please post links to pcpartpicker if possible. Needs to be available in Germany. Here is the rest of the planned system (please don't complain about it, just go with it):

Thanks,

Catchears

Yeah before asking about a card the questions that need to be answered:

1- what’s your budget?

2- what games do you want to play?

3- do you have a 1440p monitor capable of displaying > 60 FPS?

4- are you willing to not run the game on very high to ultra settings?

assuming you’re into triple A games, and have a high refresh panel, and money is not an issue... a 2070 at least from the green team, and possibly a 5700xt from the red team.

AMD Ryzen 3950x under a Noctua D15S, 32 Gb G Skill FlareX 3200 DDR4 running at 3200 CL14, Gigabyte Aorus Pro 570 Wifi, Gigabyte 2070 Super hooked to a Dell U2718Q 4k HDR monitor & an Acer 1440p 144hz IPS panel of some kind, an Inland 1 TB M.2 PCIE 4 main drive, a Samsung NVME M.2 250Gb, WD Blue 500Gb  and 1 TB SSDs, Corsair RMX750, Rainbows and butterflies...

Sorry all, ( @RyzenDoctor@jstudrawa @Bartholomew @Sat1600)

I had a lot on my mind as I wrote this and forgot quite a bit, thanks for the quick replies telling me so.

1. I know it's a bit vague, but the cheapest card which will run at 60-80 fps at 1440p.

2. Currently I only play fortnite, but I have plans to play (slightly) more demanding games soon (e.g. GTA 5, mid settings).

3. Currently...

no. Any advice on that topic?

4. Mid settings are fine, high are better ofc.

Thanks,

Catchears

Fortnite is actually pretty easy to hit those numbers once you turn the settings down. If your looking at Medium settings even a 1060 6gb can hit 80+fps at 1440p. I normally recommend the RX 580 but If fortnite is your game then Nvidia is better. A used 1070 or new 1660ti will obviously get higher details
