So I bought a Fractal Design Define R6 USB-C TG Case from one store and a tech from another store built the computer. Just unpacked it a bit earlier today and noticed a 5" hairline scratch on the top and a 1 cm scratch on the inside. Wasn't even looking for it. I'm kind of a picky person - especially since I spent nearly 3K on this build, so it kinda irks me. Not sure what I should do if anything. I don't really know whose at fault -- whether it came like this or the tech who built it scratched it up by accident. What would you do?

Where is the scratch on the inside? Photos would help

Depending on the damage it might be worth emailing Fractal Design directly, as the retailer probably will refer you to the manufacturer warranty.

For the most part I'm kinda over it now and realize that some people could consider that I'm being extremely picky about it.

They're ultimately minor aesthetic annoyances, but when you drop nearly 3K on a computer and your case has scratches on it, It's a bit of a piss-off; especially since it is a nice case and I paid for "extras" to make it look even nicer. However, life is busy and I have too many other things going on so ultimately I probably won't end up doing anything about it even if I had the opportunity to do so--because even if Fractal Design did decide to send me a new case, which has a 0.00001% probability of happening, I'd need to pay the same technician more money to rebuild the computer into the swapped case. The company I bought the case from won't do anything about it and the company that built the computer won't do anything about it which leaves Fractal Design and they haven't even responded to the e-mail that I sent. Plus the front I/O mic port isn't working, but that probably has nothing to do with the actual case and more to do with wiring. Though, the headset works perfectly fine from the rear audio ports and with the front I/O there's just one plug connecting both the Headphone/Mic and I can hear people perfectly fine but I sound like a garbled mess when I speak, so maybe the Mic wiring is wonky.

Scratches - 5" on top and 1" inside. Maybe I've been extremely lucky, but this is actually the first case I've ever owned that came with scratches on it. Ironically, It's my most expensive build that I actually care about.

I always recommend using the motherboard I/O for headphone audio anyways. The plugs are shielded better from interference, so you'll sometimes hear hisses, pops or other random sounds especially if you have higher end headphones.

As far as the scratches go, you might be able to cover those with automotive repair paint kits (I'm not entirely sure but they're small enough)

Oh, so even if my front I/O wasn't janky, the back ports are better because the front can produce hisses/pops etc? I think that's what you're trying to say. Yeah, as for the scratches, most people have said trying to 'cover them up' usually makes them stick out worse. So I will probably avoid trying to do that.

Correct. I tend to be a bit wordy in my explanations I'm sorry ?

That's probably fair. I imagine once it's fully assembled, the rest of the build will draw attention away from minor defects like that.
