Windows 8.1 and game compatibility?

So I just noticed a few of my friends are having issues running various games on Windows 8.1. Games like Skyrim, Tomb Raider etc. I've since had them update to the latest NVIDIA driver and that fixes the issue for most of them. Skyrim will still give CTD (Crash To Desktop) if you run any mods.

Has anyone had any experience with this?

I did when I tried it out. But updates seemed to fix it for me.

All of my 69 (huehue) Steam games never have issues with Windows 8.1

well if you play bf4 frequently and face stuttering in windows 7. Windows 8 will fix that for you, it just did for me.

If disabling mods helps, then one of the mods must not be compatible or it just doesn't want to work.

Yep. Odd though, not much code changed between 7 and 8 as far as the mods are concerned.
