Building on the budget. What would you change?

Hi all
I have a budget of about 300 dollars and with some help I managed to pick out some parts.
( the reall plan is to spend as little as possible and still get awesome pc )

This PC will be used for video editing

Im posting to ask you guys 3 questions :
1. Are they all compatible ?
2. Is there any way I could swop the mobo for something cheaper with without losing quality?
3. Is the gup going to butte neck ?

I know I could go for a lover end CPU  like r3. Im still deciding on what I should do.

As far as the case goes I might be able to use something that is laying around the house.

Hi! Well to answer your first question, yes, everything is compatible. As for the second question, the B450M Pro4 is a fantastic board. However unless you need the USB-C port or just really like its PCIe layout, you could get something like this and save a few bucks:

As for the GPU, you will be using the CPU more than anything so it should be fine. I'm assuming you already own the card?

it goes a little bit over the $300 but even when loosing 2 cores you gain clock speed and an integrated GPU that's gonna be much better than the gt 710 and you could get a rx580 later on.

This is a rig for video editing. Core count is all that matters at this price range. The GPU is essentially just a display out.

CPU, hands down. Any GPU will help accelerate the work, but the CPU is going to be thing thing that renders the video at the end of the day.

You are right. I didn't read the part where he mention the video editing. 

Edit: Also the R5 1600 doesn't come with a stock cooler does it?

So what you are saying use that build ^ and the GPU I have posted ( EVGA GeForce GT 710 2GB (Single Slot, Dual DVI)  ) ?

Going for faster ram is worth it for future proofing but use my suggestion as data for your research wait for more replies also look for more opinions so you end up with the most bang for the buck.

You said faster . Did you mean more ram?
Ram speed doesn't make that big of a difference right, thats what I have always heard and been told.
Linus did a video about it. Unless things have changed...

Well ryzen performs a bit better with faster ram not sure if the 1st gen do as well, also check that the R5 1600 comes with a cooler or you'll have to purchase a cooling solution

only the 1600x, 1700x and 1800x don't come with stock coolers.

That unit does have some advantages: i5 CPU...

Disadvantages: Small factor case, so limited upgradeability, GTX 1030... yuck, cheapo MOBO and PSU.
