RGB fans without an RGB header

SaHaRzZz

Hi everyone, I am just starting to get into RGB and I have this problem..

I want to be able to control my RGB case fan's through software, but I don't have an RGB header :/ (Gigabyte z390 m gaming).

I thought about connecting my controller to a usb header but everyone on the internet said that the Antec Prizm rgb controller does not support connecting to a usb header.

the case fans I ordered did not arrive yet, is there an easy solution to this? should I order a controller that will be able to support them? or a different brand entirely?

There's an RGB header on the foot of that board.

Isn't that a 'C_Led' or something like that?

I read about this thing and its supplying 2A of 12V to LED strips I think

Yes that would be the RGB header for 4 pin analog RGB control, you can get a splitter and hook up multiple devices.

i get a controller with the antec prizm kit, if thats really an rgb header then that means i should be all set!
although im still a bit scared of the LED_C labeling instead of RGB or something

My motherboard does not have that ARGB support, but it does have that normal RGB header which I hope will be able to make them controllable through some kind of software, so I'll be able to sync them with my other peripherals.

the question is.. is the 'Antec Prizm kit' able to do that?
I read everywhere I could about that,
https://www.walmart.ca/en/ip/Antec-Prizm-120-ARGB-5-C-120mm-Case-Fan-w-Fan-Controller-5-in-1-pack/PRD1NQCFNJFMK7J

but it has this phrase which makes me worry:

'For Gigabyte ARGB Motherboard Use Only'

I'm asking all of that before opening them so I'll be able to return them if they won't be compatible and get another probably more expensive set that will work

If you are using the ARGB version of the fans then it won't be compatible and will require a separate dedicated controller.
