Current laptop VS. potential build

I currently have a Dell G5 laptop maxed out with the i7-8750h and the gtx 1060 max-q. I'm wondering if it would be worth putting money into my old HP Elitedesk 800 G1 TWR (Same internals, different full-sized case) to get better gaming performance.

 

Can anyone confirm if the new build would actually be better or not and if there are any changes you would make?

Waste of money with your current system

If you can wait for the new amd cards that will come out and are supposed to be good and cheap, you can get a new card now for your pc and then when you upgrade just dont change your card. Or what @Slottr the mod said.

I see, so the new build couldn't even get 144fps in Fortnite with all low settings except max view distance? Because my laptop gets to 90+ degrees C even after I replaced the thermal paste with arctic MX4. 

 

The laptop seems better but it thermal throttles way too much.
