Trying to find a good laptop

Hi all, I'm trying to find a laptop that is 1000 usd max, 16gb ram, and has touchscreen capabilities.

Are there any good recommended laptops available on the market that meet these requirements?

All I've seen are dell, and like the yoga, but the cheapest is 1k for 8gb ram :(

Thanks!

games- Minecraft and sims so gpu not that important

and it will be for school

Good God, I was about to recommend the HP Spectre X360, but the cheapest one starts at $1,050. If you're not opposed to buying used, that would be an option. I don't know anyone who owns one and really has any major issues with it.

This would probably be my pick. Setting Newegg up with the following parameters:

Ryzen processor

16-32GB RAM

$750-1000

Touchscreen

Yields a lot of 15.6" Dells and HPs. Dell laptops are like the black death right now. Their XPS line is plagued by overheating, bad screens, poor build quality and occasional random death. Their lower-end consumer lines are laughably poorly built, and their Latitude laptops...um...I'm on my third 5490 since starting at my new company...in January. The thing overheats and screams like a banshee at stock as it throttles itself down to Core Solo performance.

It's not that HP is particularly better, it's just that they aren't nearly as horribly bad. If I were buying a laptop in general right now and someone told me that a ThinkPad was off the table, there's a pretty good chance it would be an Acer.

Aerocool DS are the best fans you've never tried.

Most laptops have issues in one way or another.

Probably just fine something with an i5 1050ti

or find a Ryzen 5 3000 laptop, but I can't find any info on where they'd be available.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

No preference on battery life? So you're fine with 13/15 inch as well?

None of them pop up in google for me easily, have to go directly then

Looks like the S340 is perfect though? and it's under $500 for ryzen 3000

Yeah that one is pretty good but I'm not sure what are the power limits in that model - 81QG0002US is out of stock unfortunately
