YOUR Suggestion is needed for NEW SPEAKERS

Agonizel

Hey community,

So my 7 year old Logitech z623 is slowly dying: sound randomly cutting out, more and more snow and other digital distortions are to be heard.

Although it kinda emotionally hurts, I gotta replace them soon. I wish to switch to 2.0 speakers for easier cable management and foot space, good middles for dialogue, plug & play (Desktop PC) and budget $100-$200.
I've been eyeing the Bose Companion 20 even though they're above my budget.

I wish to hear you suggestions!

LTT's Resident Porsche fanboy and nutjob Audiophile.

Main speaker setup is now;

Mini DSP SHD Studio -> 2x Mola Mola Tambaqui DAC's (fed by AES/EBU, one feeds the left sub and main, the other feeds the right side) -> 2x Neumann KH420 + 2x Neumann KH870

(Having a totally seperate DAC for each channel is game changing for sound quality)

I used to have the Bose Companion 2 and they were just OK. Definitely not worth the price, since $30 Logitech Z200 speakers sounded almost as good but with sloppier bass. Either way, I wasn't ever that fussy about speaker audio. As long as it doesn't sound distorted and gross at higher volumes like a tiny Bluetooth speaker, I'm a happy camper. Just don't expect much from smaller, simpler 2.0 speakers.
