SSD for Ideapad 330s 14IKB

Hello,

I have this Lenovo Ideapad 330s 14IKB 81F4 with 8th gen i5 and a slow 2TB HDD. I've read somewhere that it has a m.2 SSD slot and so I want to add one.

I would like to know what kind of m.2 SSD would work in it; Are there any specifics?

Also, I'm thinking of doing a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD once installed while keeping the 2TB HDD, will there be any problems with that?

Thank You!

You need a PCIe M.2,

What you can do is clone your current install from the 2TB HDD onto the SSD.

Once you're booted into your windows session on the SSD you can safely format the HDD.

You could also perform a clean install, both are good options, what matters is what's best for you.

Will this one also work?

It only supports NVMe M.2 (SATA won't work) - happens to many Lenovo motherboards

Where are you from? Budget for SSD?
