Sennheiser hh10

sperkowsky

I recently noticed linus had one of these and decided to do some research.

I first was going to 3d print a similar product but pla isnt at the quality level as the hh10 and i wanted it to look nice as it would be in the front of my setup.

After almost buying it i decided to contact them and ask for a review sample to see if i liked it.

well i did..... infact I would reccomend it to anyone who wants a good place to hang there headphones/headsets

It felt solid on the desk and just in general.

now the video showing it off

i dont really care how good looking or well built this is, i would never get one. it seems like a huge waste of money in my opinion. i just put mu headphones on my desk or monitor when im not using them, and if i wanted a stand, i would make one, but each to his own i suppose

I love the idea, if I had a place to clip onto I'd totally get one. I bought one for a friend instead.

I have a wood holder for my headphones, which was much more expensive, so really $12 is nothing.

We all support you doing reviews/overviews of products, but this is not the right section to post this in. This should be in the Member's Reviews section of the forum: http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/25-member-reviews/

whoops I saw the review thing and just clicked quick I thought for a second they removed the member review area :/ whoops I guess

I now will have 2 of those thread move things

For headphones that cost lots of money, it makes sense. I wouldn't want wear marks from being on an edge.

I hope my memory serve me well. Isn't Linus once talked about this in a Christmas present video?

I was in a basement apartment at a house for a while.  There would be frequent occurrences of small spiders.  One time, I was about to throw my headset on my head, and just quickly, my eye caught the small spider forming a web in the ear cup.  Needless to say, I would have been grossed the hell out if the tiny spider started to crawl around in my ear.

After I crafted and mounted a hook to the edge of my desk, the occurrence of a small spider in summer time was eliminated completely.  Therefore in my case, it was very crucial to have a way to hang my headset off the table since it is less likely for a spider to crawl further along surfaces, down attachments, hooks, then the headset itself.  Though it would still be possible for a spider to form a web, I can assure you that it never happened after I made the hook attachment.

In conclusion, this would not be a waste of money (although I did build my own out of a business card, packing tape, and the top of a coat-hanger hook). :)

While it's nice, I 1) can't seem to get it anywhere and 2) it's so pricey. does anyone know if alternatives exist?

I just use one of those big metal clamps shaped like a C that screws in to tighten.
