Obviously this isn't a problem for everyone, but a problem I have with Linus' videos is that I dont always understand what they are talking about.  I i like technology but I dont have a massive array of knowledge on the subject. A "Tech For Dummies" style series or channel would really benefit me and I'm sure many others as well. Where they take terms or concepts about technology and dumb them down completely. If they already do somerhingblike this let me know. :)

Probably a stupid idea but oh well.

That's kind of what TechQuickie is all about:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0vBXGSyV14uvJ4hECDOl0Q

Taking a difficult subject and simplifying it to a point where you could go "yeah, I sort of get what this is for". I don't usually recommend it for a deep grasp or understanding of the subject, some more research is needed for that (they sometimes simplify too much or get things wrong).

Otherwise, to be honest if you run across something you don't understand either:

- Google it

- Ask on the forum (most people here are friendly and ready to help others out)

"We're all in this together, might as well be friends" Tom, Toonami.

LTT staff create a thread for each video they upload in the LTT Official section of the forums. If there's ever anything you see in a video that you don't understand or have questions about, have a look in the LTT Official section for the video thread and post a reply asking there and I'm sure people will be happy to help explain it.

Additionally the TechQuickie channel mentioned by others above may also provide you with some basic information about a lot of topics.

Just for the record, I'm VERY tech savy.. engineering Masters degree and everything.... and since I've started watching the various LMG vids, I've gotten MAJOR knowledge boosts in lots of stuff I knew nothing about (PC hardware concepts).  There's a LOT of tech info out there, and everyone gets exposed to stuff they know nothing about all the time.  A nice thing about the LMG folks is they (for the most part) leave the "we know more than you" attitude out and are just about exposing folks to new stuff.

Yeah I like how they dont have that attitude as well.

A big solution to the problem that I was having, is this website:

https://www.pcgamer.com/uk/pc-hardware-terms-explained-and-demystified/

Literally just takes a 'PC' term and explains it. Been very helpful for me.
