RTX 2070. PSU help

I also have an i5 6500

 

so i was wondering what cheap enough PSU i should get around 600w would be i fine assume it also has to have the 2 x 6+2 power thingy for the GPU

Wattage ks irrelevant. You just need something high quality.

 

 

Cx550 (2017) will do just fine.

I would get the EVGA card instead. It's a little bit cheaper, and the customer support is great. I have been running this card in a cramped ITX case and it has fantastic cooling in my opinion.

What country are you in? UK? What is your budget for the PSU?

 

As far as wattage is concerned, the RTX 2070 will require around 225W, while your i5 6500 CPU will require around 75w. Total peak system draw would be under 350w. Some good quality 450/550w units would be suitable.

BeQuiet Pure Power 11 500w should fit in to that price range.
Otherwise spend a little extra for the Bitfenix Formula 450w for around 70 pounds, or even the Bitfenix Whisper M 450w or Corsair RM550x for around 80 pounds.
