Is a 1070 good for VR?

How good it is depends what VR headset you use, but generally it's a pretty good pick.

Why are you buying a 1070? is it new or used? VRAM wise 6GB should already be enough to ensure things work.

 

ideally a faster gpu like a RTX 2060 would still be preferable than a 1070 even if it has less VRAM, as long as you have enough RAM you can get away with it and all too if you ever hit that VRAM limit.

 

Vega56 is also another alterantive by the way if you're going used

I took a look at the 2060 and a 350 price tag doesnt seem bad ill look more into it

Be careful w/RTX cards, since they've had a major reputation of issues - I haven't really hard issues w/the RTX 2060, but it could just be due to the fact they haven't been used enough (time/duration).  It could be a down-the-road issue that could arise, since it's still new tech and the more powerful versions have shown issues much sooner.

 

From what I've seen most people that've purchased one are pretty happy w/them, though; just a heads-up.
