Should I return case?

mikeybal

I bought a case two weeks ago for my pc, and I just ordered the last 3 parts tonight to discover that I was $40 under budget. The case that I have right now is the Rosewill FBM-01 and here's the link: https://www.amazon.ca/Rosewill-MicroATX-Tower-Computer-FBM-01/dp/B005LIDU5S/ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_1?keywords=rosewill+fbm-01&qid=1557961552&s=electronics&sr=1-1-fkmrnull

I was wondering if it was worth going through the trouble of returning it for a better one, since it would be a good amount of trouble and my dad wouldn't be very happy.

I was maybe going to spend the $40 on a second hand mechanical keyboard or a large mouse pad.

It's not that hard to return a case through Amazon to be honest.

But if I were you, I'd return that case and buy something better like a Fractal Design Focus G (a budget-friendly case).

I would say yes for 2 reasons.

The case you linked is very old. Old enough to where 120MM fans were at a premium. The exhaust is 80mm. I have other OEM variants of this case with early C2D's and even late Pentium 4's.

I have never heard of the Focus G, but from what I know of Fractal I would already recommend it.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Wall Of Fame (Informative people/People I like): @Glenwing @DrMacintosh @Schnoz @TempestCatto @LogicalDrm @Dan Castellaneta

I don't see any reason why you'd need an upgrade, but if you want to, tell him an "expert" told you that you need more airflow. (You really don't, for the susyem you have you'll be fine but if wants a good reason... ?

Otherwise enjoy the keyboard and mouse pad!
