Hi i am trying to figure out how to exchange lite coins to GBP (pounds), any help is much appreciated.

Find a reliable local Bitcoin exchange and become verified with them. Bitcoin to fiat is easier to find than Litecoin to fiat, which is why for the time being it's recommended to first search for local Bitcoin exchanges.

 

Try using this site to find a local exchange in your area which offers low fees, decent volume, liquidity, and isn't marked up/down.

If you are going through litecoinlocal or localbitcoins, expect to pay a premium/sell at a loss if you are wanting to meet up with someone in person.

You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Users cannot, and will not securely manage key material. Most users can't and the ones that can, wont.
