GTX 780 TI Reference or ACX

Hi, I am planning on getting a GTX 780 TI, should I get the reference card http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-Dual-Link-Graphics-03G-P4-2883-KR/dp/B00GFZMI3G/ref=cm_cd_al_qh_dp_t  or the ACX card http://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Superclocked-Dual-Link-Graphics-03G-P4-2884-KR/dp/B00GMTGJIU/ref=br_lf_m_8226061011_1_2_ttl?ie=UTF8&m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&s=pc&pf_rd_p=1707027342&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_i=8226061011&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=1S0AYHRXKM2Q0ZCWMQKA  The ACX card says the base and boost clock speeds are higher and the card is cheaper.

Only reason to go with reference in your case is the aesthetics.

It has better VRM's and will run about the same temp, maybe a little lower than the ACX version.

How much longer on average would the 780 TI last versus the original 780 SC? I know there isn't a definite answer to this.

There probably won't be that great of a difference. It's more voltage that kills stuff than heat. As long as you keep it below 90 degrees it should be fine for a long long time.

Only reasonable use of a blower/reference card now is a small form factor case, or upgrading an OEM computer. It can act as another exhaust fan.

Suggest the ACX flavor, unless as others stated, you are have/building a mini rig or are planning to throw a water block on it....other than that, you'll be okay with the ACX cooler...
