location location location man... if you live out on a farm in the middle of arkansas you'll be lucky to even have internet let alone worried about how much it costs.

 

Even the same provider will have different rates based on location. Comcast/Xfinity in each state will be different.

 

That's like me asking if $50/lb for durain while living in the US is expensive, sure compared to SE asia that's insane.

I understand not wanting to give out personal information.

 

That's not a bad thing to want to protect.

 

But the simple fact is, we cannot answer your question without at least basic geographical information (specifically, what country, and whether you live in a rural area, small town, city, etc).

 

However, $20/mo for 2Mbps is considered "a bad deal" in most western countries (Such as Canada, US, Germany, etc), where the internet infrastructure is highly built up.

 

In other countries, though, that's normal pricing.
