Logitech mice and software

Go to solution Solved by seon123,

To add to the thing above, you can use the software to program the on board memory of the mouse. So just install the software, program there mouse however you want, and uninstall the software (or just disable it).

I'm thinking about getting a G Pro Hero mouse, however I've not owned a Logitech mouse it a long while. My question is can I use the mouse without software and still set the DPI? Will all the buttons function (don't care about remapping them)? I really don't wan't to have to run a back ground application for my hardware to function.

I believe so yes. The mouse has a default button mapping and DPI settings that can be changed with the dedicated DPI button, but I think you'd have to use software to set the different DPI levels. Beyond that I dont believe you need the software to operate it.

Source: G502 owner, but I dont play with DPI settings

This is what I've done with my G403. One time setting. I think my mouse has adjustable DPI via button also, but I never need it so make sure all settings are the same DPI and never changes.
