Hi All,

It's my first time to this forum so I apologize for any infractions incurred here.

My Specs are as follows:

Prime x470-Pro

AMD Ryzen 7 2700x

Viper 16gb 3200mhz

PSU - Cosair CS850m (Possibly 4/5 years Old)

Sapphire Radeon Vega 64

I've been this graphics card since Christmas and all of sudden my computer doesn't have a signal. So I change out the Vega 64 for a r9 380 and sure enough the computer is still working. When I place the Vega 64 back in, the same issue occurs. The lights on the card are on and the fan doesn't spin. So I'm wondering what possible issues I'm facing. To me, it looks like it could be a power supply issue or a graphic's card failure. I've check the wires. I've also made sure the graphics card has been slotted correctly. Any advice would be much appreciated :)

Thanks in Advance,

Cheers.

That is bad :(
The fans should spin IIRC and not just the card beeing lit.

Do you have the one with 3 PCIe Connectors or two?

I fear that you might have to RMA the card...

I meant the Graphics Card.

Sapphire Vega64 comes in two version:
The Limited Edition one with 3 PCIe Power Connectors

and the normal one you can get right now with only 2 PCIe Power Connectors.

Ocic, It only requires 2 PCIe Power Connectors.

I heard it might be the power connectors that are faulty, So I went to amazon and ordered some. I have my doubts though since the r9 380 worked with the Corsair PCIe power connectors.

Sighhh...

Gonna hope that the RMA Process isn't painful T.T

They have a reference card too. Just like the Nitro+ it has 2 8 pins though, not the 3 of the Nitro+ LE.

Where??
And what do you mean??
You have connected the Card with TWO PCIe Cables??

What did you order exactly??

Can you stil cancel the order? Because it doesn't seem like it makes sense...

Its not that. If we're talking about two PCIe Cable and not just one.

There is a slight chance that the PSU might cause some issues but its not likely.

Probably can't cancel my amazon order now XD. I still want to see if it'll make a difference. Here's link. It was actually Newegg XD

I'm not too familiar with the terminology. So bare with me. What I'm referring to are the 8 pin power connectors that go from the PSU to the GPU. Currently, I have an 8 pin connector that splits into 2 "6+2" pins to supply the GPU. Basically the cable i'm purchasing.

Is there anyway to Determine if it's a PSU issue ?

No!
Modular Cables on the PSU Side are Proprietary.

You should have two cables

If you don't, ask Corsair for a cable.

Replace the PSU with a new/better known good model.

for example be quiet Straight Power 11, 550 or 750W....

Woot ! Found that Extra Cable. Unfortunately, the Fan still doesn't spin on the GPU and still no monitor output. Good Call on the Cable XD.

Gyah I thought a Corsair with 850W would last me quite a while T.T. Spending more money on this stuff makes my heart break.

Thanks for all the help BTW :D

I wouldn't buy a new PSU. If the other GPU works and the Vega suddenly stopped working it's more likely to be an issue with the Vega. Have you tried using it on another PC?

Yah it certainly feels like it. I've contacted the peeps at sapphire. They say it's likely a hardware issue too. So they gave me an email to contact. Hopefully I get a positive response.
