Can't find a high enough ITX CPU cooler for Louqe Ghost

It'd probably perform better. 

 

The TDP spec isn't usually reliable since there's little to no regulation for how it's measured between different manufacturers. Look at benchmarks and in-depth reviews comparing coolers instead when possible. 

 

As @Jurrunio mentioned, planning a bit later is probably better.

Alrighty so...

 

After about 3 hours of searching, I have have come up empty-handed.

 

Here is my problemo:

  • I am looking for the highest TDP cooler under 70mm

Questions:

  • Is it okay to run a CPU with a lower TDP cooler?
  • What cooler should I use?
  • Would changing a fan on a cooler raise its TDP?

The first thing is to not take rumours into the equation in a plan. Think about it later.

One that pushes more air through the heatsink, yes. If the stock fan is already good though, this will also increase noise output

First of all, TDP matters less than you think. You can look at any review, most are done with i7 or i7 workstation models (some newer ones with Ryzen 7s). Just compare temps you see there (and keep in mind that some review sites use delta temps, not actual temps). Difference between dual tower and down-draft is 15C usually. What CPU you are going for anyway?

To replace your current? Maybe test it out with C7 before buying anything else. Since those aren't out yet, we have no idea if they are hotter or cooler than current gen. Or if there is significant change.
