I'm not an expert PC builder, nor do I know the use case of your machine, but I can assure you that 512gb is just not enough for ANYTHING, even on an entry level machine like mine, let alone an RTX 40 series build like yours.

Just get a normal M.2 SSD instead of going with NVME. If you really need an NVME SSD, you gotta compromise somewhere else.

Compromise? That's 2TB for $105.

M.2 is the form-factor.

The motherboard (and CPU) ONLY supports NVMe type M.2 SSDs. OP doesn't have a choice to go M.2 SATA.

The cheapest "not shady" 2.5" 2TB SATA SSD listed on PCPartPicker is the TeamGroup QX, at $95

$105 for 2TB NVMe is actually a pretty good price...considering a mediocre Crucial BX500 2.5" SATA SSD is already $125.

I like the recommendations, but I don't need the extra memory. I don't play many games and don't need the extra storage.

The cheapest 16GB (8GB X2) DDR5-6000 CL30 memory kit COSTS MORE than the 32GB (16 GB X 2) kit...

https://pcpartpicker.com/product/zWhv6h/kingston-fury-beast-rgb-16-gb-2-x-8-gb-ddr5-6000-cl30-memory-kf560c30bbak2-16

You can save ~$30 for going down to a 1TB NVMe SSD instead.

Then again, it's $30, you are not shaving off $50 or $100+

You can trim another $15 ~ $20 from the motherboard...gong for a lower-end board...

But you also lose the built-in WiFi / Bluetooth, or have to drop down to mATX rather than ATX.

The case has four fans, you don't really need any more.

Get a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe drive. I have never known storage needs to stay static or shrink.

80+ ratings certify electrical efficiency. Not quality.
